EXAMPLES OF FUNDED PROJECTS
        Examples of funded projects in fiscal year 2005 include: (1) Medicare Current Beneficiary Survey; (2) Evaluation of Medicare Care Management for High Cost Beneficiaries; (3) Improving HIV/AIDS Treatment and Prevention; (4) Evaluation of Benefits Improvement and Protection Act (BIPA) Cancer Prevention; (5) Evaluation of Vision Rehabilitation Demo; (6) Grants to Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Hispanic Health Services Research Programs; (7) Real Choice Systems Change Grants; and (8) Medicaid Analytic Database (MAX) Data Development.

PROGRAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS
        There were 59 new cooperative agreements/grants funded and 41 new contracts funded in fiscal year 2005. In fiscal year 2006, it is estimated that there will be 24 new grants/cooperative agreements and 20 new contracts. In fiscal year 2007, it is estimated that it will be 20 new grants/cooperative agreements and 17 new contracts.
